I'm about to do the CE too. Recently successfully completed the ADR Base + Tank. The basic course lasted 2.5 days and the "advanced tank" 1.5 days. In other words, on the 3rd day at noon we did the "basic" exam. Right after the test we continued with the lessons for "Tank" until the afternoon. The following day (4th day) we had lessons again and in the afternoon the test for "Tank". If you do both courses in one, it's cheaper than if you just do "Basic" first and then "Tank" at some point.
